Here's how my NO Nonsense advice on inventing will get your product to market...
I am going to give you a few clues to help you get started on the road to making money with your invention.
Suggestions that all new inventors should follow, because you can't win this game without them.
Follow these tips and you'll win the battle.
Ignore the advice and you will be setting yourself up for failure.
Let's get started...
Spend time on Google and really find out about your product, the market and how your idea is better than the alternatives. Do a quick patent search, Google similar products, talk with people that might be interested in your type of product. The essence of my method of invention and new product development is understanding. You must understand the market, the competition and the history of your product and solution. Do this one thing and you will be miles ahead of the average inventor.
Use creeping commitment on your ideas. You should spend the least amount of money you can to determine if your idea is viable or not. This is important!! Many people will advise you to get a patent or prototype right away. If you know your idea is a winner this is fine. The problem is that most people have not done the work to know if they have a winner or not. Do the work, spend money on the right things slowly as you build confidence in your idea.
Making money from an invention or a new product idea is difficult. If you want to stay motivated on your journey, you need to be on the list. Download my best inventor tips on THIS PAGE and you'll be added in automatically.
Don't look for someone else to take responsibility for your invention. You must be cautious about who you trust. Invention promoters, patent attorneys and companies you might want to partner with all have their own agenda. You must think for yourself and decide what is best for your product. Don't be a statistic and spend thousands of dollars on a bad idea.
Making money through inventing has never been easier. The tools that are available today including provisional patents, computer aided design and easy access to information have made successful inventing possible for the average person. Companies are also more willing than ever to consider the ideas of independent inventors.
If you have a good idea, you can make money as an inventor. What you cannot do is expect someone else to do all of the work for you. Invention promotion firms pray on hope and laziness. They sell inventors on the idea that all they need to do is pay them to do the legwork and they too will become a successful inventor. I am sorry to report that it does not work that way. Most statistics show the success rate for these types of deals to be less than 1%, usually far less.
To succeed you must embrace the spirit of the DIY inventor. You don't have to do it all yourself but you must be responsible for the process to ensure the results you want.
The choice is simple. You can take control of your invention and the results that follow or you can do what 99% of inventors do and risk having your invention never see the light of day.
So take a look at what InventionPartner has to offer and learn how to make real money from your invention.
